Ellie’s Story: Friendly Faces at Fusion Camp
In February 2024, Fusion Camp, a community programme delivered by Active Fusion, unfolded its vibrant array of activities at Rowena Academy. This week-long camp not only offered a diverse range of sports and games but also served as a nurturing ground for personal growth and development among its attendees.
Among the camp regulars was Ellie, a spirited participant who found solace and excitement at Fusion Camp. For Ellie, camp wasn’t just a recreational escape away from school; it was a place where she flourished, embraced new experiences, and forged lasting friendships.
At Rowena Camp, Ellie delved into the world of badminton, mastering underarm and overarm serves, skills rarely touched upon in her school’s curriculum. Beyond honing her athleticism, badminton instilled in Ellie the values of teamwork, cooperation, and resilience.
