Design our new mascot!
In our 20th year we are looking for our very own Foxy to retire from service. Have you got a great idea for a new Active Fusion mascot? Now you have a chance to see it become a reality.
The Fusion Family Mascot competition seeks to find a budding artist to design the official mascot for the charity that will launch alongside our new 2022 brand this Summer.
Children between the ages of five and 15, from across South Yorkshire can take part, with the overall winner set to win a cash voucher prize and their very own mini replica Mascot!
Designs can be drawings, paintings or collages and the deadline for entries is 1st July 2022 at 5:00pm.

What should the mascot be like?
The new mascot should be something which reflects the identity and culture of the South Yorkshire, and embodies everything that Active Fusion stands for: healthy bodies and active minds!
The entries that best reflect these attributes will inspire the official Active Fusion Mascot.
This mascot will be seen by thousands of children across our work digitally and face to face at live events. The mascot will become an iconic symbol of the Active Fusion Way, helping to inspire a generation to ‘Be the best they can Be’ as they engage in events, festivals and games activities across the area.
Your entry should include…
- A hand-made design (drawing, painting or collage), showing us what you think our mascot should look like.
- Reference to the identity of Active Fusion and our values (Joyful, Passionate and Nurturing).
- One sentence about why you think we should pick your design for our mascot.
- Your name, age, and contact details.
The competition
There will be one overall winner whose design will become our physical mascot, however entries will be split into three age groups and a winner will be picked from each group.

The overall winner will not only see their design brought to life, but they will also win a cash voucher prize, digital print and their very own mini replica Mascot!
Each age group winner will receive a cash voucher prize and a digital print of their design!
The age groups for the Mascot Design Competition are:
Each age category will have a shortlist of ten entries with one finalist from each age category.
These three finalists will be announced on the 13th July 2022, and go through to the final stage of the competition.
Who are the judges?
Entries will be judged by a panel that includes Active Fusion Director Lindsy James, Charity Trustees, Active Fusion Apprentices, our Ambassadors including Olympian Craig Heap and Sarah Stevenson and our current moscot Foxy (who is retiring after many years of service)!
The official Mascot will be selected and join The Fusion Family and make their appearance during Summer 2022.

To enter simply use this sheet which, once completed, should be returned to the school, emailed to us, or popped in the post to:
