Our programme of training supports young people and local partner organisations. Together, they tackle social issues using sport and physical activities to lead change through locally led provision.
Community Leaders work in locations, and with groups, where engagement in physical activity is low, where social issues, such as poor physical and mental wellbeing, poverty, low attainment in education and high levels of unemployment, are seen.
Our Community Coaches provide critical support to keep children from families facing financial hardship safe, fit and fed in their communities beyond the school day. Working with Community Leaders, we deliver more activities that simply increase the number of active hours children participate in.
As an anchor organisation, we work in partnership with young people and their communities to provide solutions that are driven by their lived experience.
Community Leaders will complete a Sports Leaders qualification as part of the programme, with qualifications offering pathways to progress into employment including our Apprenticeship Programme. (link to Apps info)
