1 in 6 deaths are now linked to long-term inactivity of children and young people from a young age.
As a children’s physical activity charity, Active Fusion fully understands the need for increasing physical activity, particularly amongst young people living in areas of disadvantage.
Fusion Youth is a programme designed to tackle the inactivity of children and young people at the heart of the community. To do this we provide a Community Coaches in communities most in need to get children and young people moving across South Yorkshire.

Fusion Youth activities are fun, informal sports based sessions that are delivered at the right time, in the right place, for the right young people and in the Fusion style to meet their needs.
Working with our Community Coaching team, together, they provide an exciting and varied sports offer to young people who would otherwise not engage, improving motivation and encouraging them to develop long-term physical activity habits.
Recent data shows that nearly 30% of children in the most deprived areas of England are living with obesity by the end of primary school, almost double the rate in more affluent areas. Nationally, around 40% of children and young people are considered ‘inactive’, with rates often higher in disadvantaged communities like those across South Yorkshire
Interested in getting your community involved in getting local kids more active? We can provide a flexible and tailored programme, appealing to all, especially to those young people who would otherwise not engage with sport!
Whether you are a young person or carer, a person working with young people or a school or community group, we would like to hear from you. As a charity, our aim is to see how we can help bring physical activities to your doorstep and help young people get active, the Active Fusion way!
We have sessions running every week, during term time. Check out below the sessions running near you!
