Working with Early Years.
Start children off on the right path by promoting an active lifestyle.
Our early years programmes are designed to help young children develop positive feelings towards physical activity which will last a lifetime.
Fewer than one in ten 2-4-year-olds and only 22% of 5-15 are engaging in the recommended amount of daily activity. Research shows that children are much more likely to make healthy choices as adults if they have a positive experience of physical activity at a young age.
Children are not developing fundamental movement skills and, as a result, are less likely to pursue a healthy active lifestyle into adulthood.
The global pandemic has drastically reduced a lot of opportunities for children to remain active, which is why the Active Start programme is so vital right now.
As well as developing agility, balance and coordination skills, the Active Start programme aims to nurture the children. This is done through planned physical activity sessions which specifically targets development.
Children taking part in the Active Start programme have experienced a variety of different sessions, including balance bikes, special awareness games, balancing games, ball games and much more.
Active Fusion has engaged more than 35,000 young people over the last two years to enable them to live more active lives.
Active Fusion have delivered more than 7000 PE Pack resources to keep families active at home.
Active Fusion have trained 1600+ young people and adults to mentor others to be active.
“She loves the sessions and always comes home enthusing about them. There is lots of varied active play, learning of new skills and the development of all-important listening abilities. I would absolutely recommend Active Start.”
We welcome parents who would like to join in with the sessions.
